How to use

Hearthwick Flame candles are unique, so the character of their burning may vary from time to time.

Here are a few simple steps to help you achieve the perfect burn every time.

1

. Light the wick on one side (for Boat candles with the patented Hearthwick wick).

The flame itself runs to the other end of the wick.

2

. Let the candle burn until the wax melts into all the edges of the container (until a pool of wax forms).

It takes 30-60 minutes and you will be sure that the candle will not create a tunnel and you will not be left with unmelted wax around the edges

. The flame height may change over time and even seem to go out at times, but that's okay. Even if you have a low flame, it will still burn and gradually its height will return.

The recommended burning time is 3-4 hours.

3

. Keep the candle in your eyes and out of drafts.

Also, keep it out of the reach of children, pets, flammable objects, and away from heat sources

. Always place the candle on a flat and heat-resistant surface.

An object that causes a draft can be, for example, a ceiling fan, an air conditioner, or a breeze.

4

. Never move the candle while it is burning or the wax is hot.

It is not safe and pouring or removing the wax from the jar can cause the wick to go out or drown in the wax.

5

. Cases when not to shorten the wick.

Do not shorten the wick until it is taller than 6 mm, or until the flame is taller than 3 cm, or until the candle begins to smoke

. If this occurs, carefully extinguish the candle, allow the wick and wax to cool completely and shorten the wick to 6 mm by gently breaking off the burnt ends with your fingertips.

Remove the remains of the broken wick before lighting the candle again.

6

. For your safety.

Blow out the candle and do not light it again when there is 6 mm of wax left at the bottom of the jar.
